Kirby Building Systems:

Kirby require a General Sales Manager to work within it's Structural Steel operation based in RAK.  The GSM will be responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and managing the Sales functions for Structural Steel throughout the GCC.

More specifically:

  • Develop and implement short term and long term strategies for expansion of GCC sales and distribution network of Kirby
  • Responsible for achieving budgeted market share in GCC
  • Develop and implement annual sales plan for all GCC markets and define strategies and action plans.
  • Direct and control various sales activities of Kirby's GCC sales network for the achievement of  Kirby's objectives.
  • Spearheading continuous growth  initiatives in project marketing and institutional sales .
  • Develop and maintain a vibrant sales organization to achieve Kirby's long term growth objectives.
  • Develop organization depth in the sales function and succession planning at all key positions.
  • Strengthen and expand Kirby's certified builders network.
  • Develop incentive plan to keep sales resources and certified builders highly motivated.
  • Communicate effectively with  senior management team to align strategies for achievement of sales objectives.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the strategic customers, consultants, key decision makers in Government.

Person:

  • Highly developed sales and marketing skills in  industrial products.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and decision making skills.
  • High on energy, confidence and enthusiasm.
  • Experience of the Structural Steel industry.
  • Must have sales experience in GCC markets
  • Critical thinker and adept negotiator who can apply knowledge of multiple industries in achievement of core organizational objectives.
  • Resolving critical problem areas and delivering on pre-set commitments.
  • Should have exposure to Strategy Planning, Budgeting, Cost Management, Credit/ Collections Management and people management
  • Exposure /experience in Project management, selling large projects is preferred

Experience:

  • At least 8 years experience of sales and marketing in the GCC.
  • Exposure to manufacturing.
  • Proven track record in sales and marketing.
  • Knowledge of structural steel industry and contacts with Major EPC / Oil and Gas contractors are highly desirable.
  • English/Arabic languages would be desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering.
  • MBA preferred (but not essential)
