Kirby India successfully held its 18th Annual Sales Conference on 17th February 2018 at the Kempinski Summerland Hotel & Resorts in Beirut, Lebanon. This year’s conference was based on the theme “Passion for Growth – Customers at the Core – Engage to Lead” which indicates Kirby India’s continuous hunger for growth to maintain its leadership position in the market.
Samir Kasem, COO, addressed the audience by giving an overview of Alghanim Industries’ growth and expansions in different businesses. He applauded Kirby India’s 2017 performance despite the challenging business environment and congratulated the entire team on achieving the highest Order Intake in the last 18 years. Samir stressed on employee engagement which is an important part of all businesses at Alghanim Industries, especiallyfor their future growth, and will act as one of the catalysts in their success.
Samir also discussed how an exceptional work place leads to high performance, as highly engaged teams also help in improving the bottom line and revenue with higher productivity, and achieve higher customer satisfaction and retention. He continued by explaining how leadership can be developed within the organization by capturing the hearts and minds of employees.Samir also mentioned the appointment of Gallup, a globally reputed consulting organization, which will work with all the businesses across Alghanim Industries to increase employee engagement over the next few years.
D Raju, Vice President – Kirby International, addressed the team by giving an overview of Kirby International’s performance in 2017 and showcased the company’sexpertise in executing several landmark projects across all the regions. Raju gave a briefon the economic outlook of India and stressed on key aspects of how to beat low cost competition in the rapidly evolving market.
P V Mohan, Director – Commercial, Kirby India, spoke about the key sales achievements and overall performance in 2017. Mohan also presented the growth opportunities in different areas and new investments across different industry segments. The day continued with presentations by all the regional sales heads and key initiatives for 2018 from functional heads to support the entire sales team in achieving the overall 2018 business plan of Kirby India.
K S Shyam, Senior HR Director, gave a presentation on customer service which is crucial for the survival of any business in today’s highly competitive market, and also acts as a key differentiating factor in the growth of the company.
The sales conference ended with an awards ceremony for the outstanding performers of 2017 across various categories, with certificates of merit along with mementos being presented by Samir, Raju, Yogesh and Shyam. The award ceremony was followed by a gala dinner.
Overall, the annual sales conference was a huge success and concluded on a happy note with the entire team fully motivated and inspired to continue Kirby’s growth story in 2018.
