19 Mar 2018, India

In line with its efforts to reinforce women’s empowerment and encourage women’s talent, Kirby India organized an outbound program for its female employees, coined as “Blooming Inwards”, on 16 and 17 March 2018 at Pragati Resorts, Hyderabad. It was an intensive two-day program which offered a blend of practical learning and a talent show where participants exhibited their talents.

Day 1 of the outbound program consisted of activities revolving around self-inquiry, human values and their connection to organizational values, positive parenting, and self-defence techniques which were facilitated by a leading external training agency.

Day 2 started by welcoming the senior management and their families to the talent show, followed by a lamp lighting ceremony along with a devotional song. The event kicked-off on an inspiring note, with senior management emphasizing the importance of women’s empowerment, as well as the capability and will-power of women across various fields. Amazing theme-based dance performances by the women of Kirby made the audience spell-bound with fantastic classical, folk and filmy songs. Not to be outdone, mimicry, singing, eye-catching jewellery making, vegetable carving, handicraft work, paper art, and various forms of talents were also displayed by the Women of Kirby.

Employees who have been with Kirby for more than 10 years were awarded and appreciated by the senior management team. Towards the end of the show, the senior management team accentuated that “Kirby strongly believes that organizations gain a competitive edge by empowering women and it drives various organizational initiatives on gender diversity and inclusion.”

Participants felt that the program was unique and memorable, laying a platform to strengthen internal connections, and provided them with significant learning opportunities and long-lasting experiences with a highly energized gala dinner, nature walk and various activities in an invigorating environment.
