Kirby Building Systems participated in the Food Logistics India Show 2018 exhibition, which was held at Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai from 27 – 29 September 2018. This exhibition is one of its kind as it consists of participants from different segments such as food processing, packaging, logistics, material handling, etc. with participation from different countries.
The event provided the Kirby team with excellent opportunities to speak to professionals from food industry, logistics companies, upcoming warehousing facility owners, and project managers from the warehousing and other industry segments with the aim of providing them with high quality products. The need for sophisticated and modern warehousing facilities with automation has seen a big leap in the last few years because of the e-commerce boom by online retailers, warehouses for industrial purposes (storage of raw material, finished goods, etc.), agro warehouses, and climate controlled warehouses. Most third party players or individuals including Central and State Governments are giving preference to Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) for setting up their warehouses and cold storages for food grains, vegetables, and other commodities across rural and semi-urban areas. Implementation of Goods & Service Tax (GST) from 1st July 2017 onwards and infrastructure status given to the Logistics industry has further given a boost to the warehousing industry as this will allow logistic companies to setup both small and big warehouses across India which will in turn boost the overall economy and enhance its share of contribution to the GDP.
Kirby was able to reinforce its strong brand presence with all visitors, further strengthening its position in the market and increasing awareness about its products and solutions among its target audience.
