On 15 February 2019, Kirby India successfully held its 19th annual sales conference at the Marriott Hotel Sisli in Istanbul, Turkey. This year’s conference revolved around the theme “Passion for Growth by leading through Innovation and Engagement” which reflects Kirby India’s continued success and its hunger for more which will enable itself to maintain its leading position in the market with innovation and engagement for employees as well as customers.
Samir Kasem, CEO – Alghanim Industries, addressed the audience by giving an overview of Alghanim Industries’ growth and expansions in different businesses. He applauded Kirby India’s 2018 performance, despite the challenging business environment, and congratulated the entire team on achieving the highest order intake in the last 19 years. Samir stressed on sustainable growth which is very important for any business, especially for their future growth, and will act as one of the key differentiators for their success in coming years. He continued to explain how important it is for everyone to have a proper work-life balance, as this will enable the individual to have better sustained energy and focus for the tasks at hand.
D. Raju, Vice President – Kirby International, also addressed the team by giving an overview of Kirby India’s performance in 2018, showcasing the company’s expertise in executing several landmark projects across all the regions. Raju additionally gave a brief on the economic outlook of India and stressed on the importance of customer service for sustainable growth. He emphasized revolutionizing the way the business manages customer service by enabling all the employees to be customer-focused, thereby creating an organizational culture of excellent service.
P V Mohan, Director – Commercial, Kirby India also spoke to the audience and shared the key sales achievements and overall performance in 2018, also echoing the same focus on enhancing our customer service approach for greater success. The day continued with presentations by all the regional sales heads as well as functional heads to support the entire sales team in achieving Kirby India’s overall 2019 business plan and key initiatives.
The sales conference ended with an awards ceremony for the outstanding performers of 2018 across various categories, with certificates of merit along with mementos being presented by Samir, Raju, Yogesh Maheshwari, Senior Finance Director – Automotive and Kirby and K. S. Shyam, Senior Director – Human Resources. The award ceremony was followed by a gala dinner for all attendees.
The latest annual sales conference was a huge success overall, and concluded on a happy note, with the entire team fully motivated and inspired to continue Kirby India’s growth story in 2019.
